In order to increase pedagogical effectiveness, Cicero conducted 15 hours of training for 700 teachers ranging from the 2nd to 10th grade on how to effectively use assessment and other data to improve instruction. Cicero customized its training formula to apply directly to DCPS data and instructional systems. Participants experienced an average 20% (or 1/2 of a standard deviation) growth in their ability to use data to improve pedagogy.
