WHITE PAPER

Healthcare Priorities in a Kamala Harris Presidency

Read the White Paper

In a prior whitepaper entitled “The Top 10 Biden Healthcare Priority Focus Areas,” we highlighted the healthcare initiatives the Biden Administration has prioritized, as indicated by budgetary requests and proposed rule changes or investigations. In a historic move, President Joe Biden ended his presidential re-election campaign on July 21, 2024, only a few months before the election, and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris. Subsequently, two weeks later, on August 5, 2024, Harris finally secured the Democratic presidential nomination, marking her as the first woman of color to lead a major party ticket.

With Vice President Kamala Harris now declared as the official Democratic presidential nominee, it becomes increasingly important for stakeholders across the healthcare spectrum to understand Harris’s healthcare priorities. This knowledge can help providers, life sciences companies, insurers, technology vendors, and investors to anticipate and prepare for potential continuity or changes in the healthcare landscape.
