Upon acquiring a fast-dissolving formulation of a dopamine receptor antagonist, this pharmaceutical company wanted to understand physician demands surrounding gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), how physicians were currently addressing the problems, and their perceptions of the new product the pharmaceutical company had acquired. In addition, the firm wanted to better understand the potential market demand for its product as well as how to best position the pharmaceutical and subsequently sell the product.
Cicero conducted in-depth physician interviews as well as online surveys to better understand market demand. This was done to assist the pharmaceutical company in knowing how to best introduce the pharmaceutical, to what markets, and through which channels.
